Class 3 Propane Delivery Driver — Home Every Night

Our company in Trenton, NS is looking for a Propane Specialist to deliver bulk propane to customers and help keep the local bulk plant running. You'll report to the District Manager and work closely with the Delivery Coordinator day to day. Field staff are home every night.

Pay

• $25.23-$31.52 hourly, based on skills, experience, qualifications and geography

• Performance-based incentives available

What you'll do

• Transport bulk propane and safely transfer it from your truck into customer storage tanks, following all hazardous materials rules

• Hook up and run hose transfers for tank evacuations, including securing tanks and operating compressors/pumps

• Load and unload propane tanks and equipment, checking weights against lifting limits

• Fill cylinders, do minor tank painting/maintenance and help with yard work at the bulk plant when you're not driving (training provided)

• Keep the Delivery Coordinator updated on route or customer changes

• Complete pre- and post-trip vehicle checks, site and tank inspections, delivery tickets, meter logs and hours-of-service records

• Flag any mechanical problems to your manager and keep your truck clean and presentable

• Take part in a weekly rotating on-call schedule for after-hours or emergency calls

Requirements

• High school diploma

• At least 1 year of commercial driving experience

• Winter driving experience

• Valid Class 3 driver's license with a clean abstract

• Able to repeatedly lift 60 lbs

• Able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test

• Comfortable using onboard truck computers

• Strong customer service skills
