About this job
Our company is looking for a Truck Driver to deliver building materials to homes and construction sites in the Lower Sackville, NS area. You'll operate a boom truck, load and unload freight, and keep your vehicle and paperwork in order while working safely and professionally.
What you'll haul
- Windows and doors, cement, shingles, and other building materials
What you'll do
- Deliver materials to private homes and construction sites
- Operate the truck's boom
- Load and unload product and prepare the truck for loading
- Check and maintain the vehicle, complete daily checklists
- Stay in contact with dispatch and help resolve issues
- Verify load security and accuracy
- Report any defects, violations, accidents, or injuries
Requirements
- Valid Class 3 license with air brake endorsement; manual transmission required
- Clean driver's abstract
- Able to lift up to 75 lbs
- Comfortable working in all weather and up to 12 hour shifts with varying start times
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
- Physically able to do the job, self-motivated, punctual, and safety-minded
