About this job
Our company is hiring Class 1 truck drivers for a rotational camp-based job in Stewart, BC, hauling copper ore in B-train trailers for the Red Chris and Pretium Brucejack hauls. You'll drive on highway and mountain mining roads, with free accommodations and fly-in/fly-out arrangements. The role starts October 1, 2026, with training provided beforehand.
Pay
- Daily rate of $582 to $667
- A travel and food allowance of up to $125 per day is included in that daily rate
- Pension contribution of $4.75/hr, worth about $10,200 per year, fully paid by Arrow
Schedule
- Full-time, permanent, year-round work
- Rotation of 4 weeks on, 2 weeks off
- Within each rotation: 5 days on, 2 days off, with a possible 6th shift depending on hours of service, mine inventory and equipment availability
- Local and rotational work
What you'll haul
- Copper ore in B-train trailers for the Red Chris and Pretium Brucejack hauls
- Routes cover various highways and high mountain mining roads around Stewart
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 license with air brake endorsement
- At least 5 years of Class 1 driving experience
- Prior experience with super B trailers, mountain driving and winter driving
- Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
- At least two job references
- Able to move 100 lbs, lift 50 lbs overhead and lift 75 lbs to shoulder height
- Comfortable sitting for long stretches
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Computer literate, with a basic grasp of vehicle and trailer maintenance
- Organized, able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Flexible and professional, able to work well with a diverse team under pressure
Day-to-day, you'll inspect your truck before, during and after trips, secure and tarp loads, follow hours-of-service and dangerous goods regulations, keep accurate logs and paperwork, communicate with dispatch and supervisors, and help load/unload and clean up at sites as needed. You may also operate loading equipment and train other drivers when required.
