About this job
Our company is hiring experienced Class 1 drivers to work in teams hauling freight between Alberta and British Columbia. This is a full-time company driver position based out of Chestermere, AB, and you will share the driving with a partner.
Pay
- $10,000 to $15,000 per month.
What you'll do
- Drive a Class 1 truck on the Alberta–BC lane and plan driving shifts and rest breaks together with your partner.
- Get freight delivered safely and on schedule, using a forklift to load and unload when needed.
- Fill out daily trip reports and delivery paperwork.
- Check the truck and equipment before and after each trip, and report any problems right away.
- Stay in touch with dispatch, customers and your teammate, and follow all traffic laws, safety rules and company policies.
Requirements
- A valid Class 1 licence and at least 2 years of Class 1 driving experience.
- Solid knowledge of the highways in Alberta and British Columbia.
- Background in handling and hauling freight.
- Comfortable working in a team, with good communication and time-management skills.
- A real commitment to road safety.
