About this job
Our company, a family-owned carrier operating since 1945, is looking for a spare Class 1 driver to work on call out of Kentville, NS or Mississauga, ON. This is a part-time position and some weekend work is required. Eassons runs about 325 trucks and over 500 employees, hauling dry and temperature-controlled TL/LTL freight across Canada and the United States, with terminals in Coldbrook, Sydney, Albany, Moncton, Mount Pearl, Belleville and Mississauga.
Schedule
- On-call, part-time/spare work
- Some weekends needed
Requirements
- At least 1 year of verifiable Class 1 driving experience
- A clean police background check
- Clean driving and CVOR abstracts
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test
- Good attitude and reliable punctuality
- Familiarity with Automatic Onboard Recorders is a plus
