Class 1 Log Truck Driver — $44.03/hr

Our company needs a dependable Class 1 driver to haul logs from active logging sites to delivery points near Courtenay, BC. You'll work on logging roads, so solid experience handling a truck and trailer in those conditions matters.

Pay

• $44.03 per hour, based on a 40-hour work week

What you'll haul

• Logs, transported from logging operations to designated drop-off points

• Work includes driving a truck-and-trailer combination over active logging roads in varying weather

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 licence

• At least 2 years hauling logs

• Proven ability running a log truck and trailer on logging roads

• Solid grasp of load securement rules and safe transport practices

• Comfortable handling rough roads and poor weather

• Dependable, punctual, and capable of working with minimal supervision

• Clear communicator who manages time well

Responsibilities

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip checks every day

• Secure loads properly and follow all applicable rules

• Keep paperwork and timecards accurate and current

• Stay in contact with dispatch and supervisors

• Keep the truck clean and in safe working order

• Follow all safety procedures set by the company
