Class 1 Local Driver — $27.00–$36.52/hr

Our company in Dartmouth, NS needs a Class 1 driver for local runs, hauling construction materials to job sites around the city, including tight site deliveries. You'll handle pickups and drop-offs within the area while keeping safety and customer service front and center.

What you'll haul

• Construction materials delivered to sites throughout the city, including tight access locations

What you'll do

• Drive a Class 1 commercial vehicle on local delivery and pickup routes

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to stay compliant and safe

• Keep accurate logs and delivery paperwork

• Handle basic automotive troubleshooting or minor repairs when needed

• Follow traffic laws, safety rules and company procedures on every run

• Stay in contact with dispatch and customers about schedules or delivery issues

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 license with a clean driving record

• Comfortable driving standard (manual) transmission

• Class 1 experience of 3 years preferred

• Familiarity with freight handling and safety procedures

• Able to lift heavy loads and manage physical tasks on the job

• Solid time management and clear communication with dispatchers and clients

• Basic mechanical troubleshooting ability is a plus
