Class 1 LCV Truck Driver — $7,000–$10,000/month

Our company in Edmonton, AB is hiring a full-time Class 1 LCV truck driver. You will haul goods mainly between Edmonton and Saskatoon, Regina and Calgary, with some local work too.

Pay

• $7,000 to $10,000 per month.

Routes and equipment

• Mostly Edmonton to Saskatoon, Regina and Calgary.

• You will drive tractor-trailers, long combination vehicles and straight-body trucks, and sometimes semis on long and local runs.

• Some loads may be dangerous goods or hazardous products, and you may be asked to drive on a two-person team or in a convoy.

What you'll do

• Plan each trip and get the paperwork and permits needed, including for international routes.

• Inspect the vehicle before, during and after every trip, covering tires, lights, signals, brakes and cold storage.

• Make sure cargo is secured and follow dangerous goods procedures.

• Keep records of cargo, hours of service, distance and fuel, and manage bills of lading and logs on paper or electronically.

• Stay in touch with dispatch, other drivers and customers through on-board devices.

• Handle emergency roadside repairs when needed.

Requirements

• LCV certification.

• At least 1 year of driving experience; 2 years of commercial driving is preferred.
