About this job
Our company, a landscape materials manufacturer and Nova Scotia's largest road salt distributor, needs a Class 1 driver to run a tractor paired with a tridem end dump trailer. This role covers both year-round and seasonal routes based out of the HRM and Truro area.
Pay
- $29.00 to $31.00 per hour, plus benefits
What you'll haul
- Tridem end dump trailer loads, mostly highway runs connecting Lower Sackville to the Rawdon site, plus trips to the Annapolis Valley and Northern NS
- Newer equipment: 2025 and 2026 Peterbilts
- Self-loading with a loader is a plus
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, roughly 6 am to 5 pm, with longer days expected in the fall
Requirements
- At least 5 years operating a 37-foot end dump trailer
- Clean driving abstract covering the past 3 years
- Must reside within 60 km of the Sackville Business Park (Nova Scotia residency required)
- Mechanical aptitude, safety focus, teamwork, and basic record-keeping ability
- Able to handle physically demanding tasks at times
