Our company Inc. is looking for experienced Class 1 drivers to run cross-border routes between Canada and the United States, hauling dry van and reefer freight on newer, assigned equipment with steady year-round freight.
Pay
- $6,000 to $9,000 per month, paid by direct deposit
What you'll haul
- Dry van and reefer trailers
- Lanes include Alberta to California, Arizona, Texas, Chicago, BC, and Washington
- No city pickup and delivery work out of Calgary for this role
What the job involves
- Safely driving tractor-trailer units across Canada and the US
- Making pickups and deliveries on schedule
- Doing pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections
- Keeping accurate ELD and trip logs
- Following FMCSA, DOT, and other safety rules
- Securing freight and maintaining temperature-controlled loads
- Staying in contact with dispatch and customers
- Keeping your assigned truck clean and well-maintained
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 (AZ) license
- About 2 years of long-haul experience preferred
- Reefer experience is a plus
- Must be able to cross into the United States
- Clean abstract and solid safety record
- Familiarity with ELD and logbook rules
- A FAST Card is a plus
