Class 1/3 Local Delivery Driver — Halifax — $20.78–$36.89/hr

IGloo Transport in Dartmouth, NS is hiring a local delivery driver to serve Halifax and the surrounding area. You'll handle pickups and drop-offs around the city, keep shipment records straight, and help customers with special requests.

Pay

• $20.78 to $36.89 per hour

What you'll haul

• Goods picked up and dropped off within Halifax and nearby areas

• Loading and unloading per dispatch instructions, including resolving issues that come up in transit

What you'll do

• Keep deliveries safe and on schedule

• Upload delivery paperwork and keep shipment records current in the company's Transportation Management System (TMS)

• Talk with customers directly and manage any special delivery requests on site

• Check your vehicle regularly and keep it clean and roadworthy

• Stick to traffic laws and the company's safety rules

Requirements

• Valid Canadian Class 1 or Class 3 licence with Air Brake endorsement

• Strong English communication skills for daily tasks; Chinese is a plus

• Know your way around Halifax roads; local driving background helps

• Able to use a computer or mobile device to run TMS software and manage delivery data

• Open to early, late, and weekend shifts as needed

• Clean driving record, no major violations

• Able to do some physical loading and unloading

• Reliable, on time, and focused on good customer service

• Legally able to work in Canada
