Class 1/3 Bulk Feed Delivery Driver — $25–$30/hr

Our company, a feed mill based in Woodville, Nova Scotia, needs a careful driver to move bulk animal feed out to area farms. You'd run a full-time schedule from Monday to Friday, with extra hours and the occasional weekend when needed.

Pay

• $25.00–$30.00 per hour, set based on your experience and availability

• Expect 40 to 60 hours a week

What you'll haul

• Bulk animal feed, loaded and unloaded using specialized delivery equipment

• Deliveries to farm properties on rural roads

Responsibilities

• Check feed products, quantities, load sheets and drop-off locations before heading out

• Follow biosecurity and sanitation steps to avoid cross-contamination between farms

• Inspect your truck and unloading gear before and after each run, and keep it clean

• Flag any mechanical problems, safety concerns, spills or delivery mix-ups

• Keep accurate delivery paperwork and stay in touch with customers and the mill

• Help out with general equipment maintenance as needed

Requirements

• Class 1 or Class 3 licence with air brake endorsement, and a clean record

• Commercial driving experience is a plus; time spent hauling bulk feed or running farm equipment helps too

• Able to lift as much as 80 lbs and handle physical work

• Fine with rural driving and getting in and out of farm properties

• Organized enough to manage your own delivery schedule

• Dependable, on time and good with customers

• Open to overtime, longer days and occasional weekend work
