About this job
Our company is looking for an experienced CDL driver ready to travel for project-based work across several states. Expect to be away from home for days or even weeks at a stretch, though the company tries to stay flexible with scheduling to help you get home time when possible.
Pay
- $20.00 to $25.00 per hour
What you'll haul
- Flatbed loads and tanker freight, secured and handled according to proper procedures
Home time
- Travel required, sometimes for days or weeks at a time; the company aims to be flexible with scheduling to accommodate home time
Requirements
- Valid CDL with a tanker endorsement
- Solid track record driving commercial trucks
- Comfortable and skilled operating manual transmissions
- Understanding of cargo securement and trucking safety rules
Responsibilities
- Drive tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles safely, following traffic laws and DOT rules
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Keep accurate records of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance
