CDL OTR Truck Driver — $2,800–$4,000/Week

Our company in Los Angeles, CA is looking for a CDL truck driver to haul freight over the road. You'll work with a mix of equipment, including tractor-trailers, reefers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks and roll-off trucks, moving freight safely to its destination.

Pay

• $2,800.00 to $4,000.00 per week

What you'll haul

• Freight varies by load and may include hazmat, dangerous goods, refrigerated goods, and tanker or flatbed cargo

• You may load and unload freight by hand or with equipment like forklifts

The job

• Drive OTR routes while following FMCSA and DOT rules

• Use GPS to plan routes, work around traffic and stay on schedule

• Do pre-trip and post-trip inspections, watching for hazmat issues and maintenance needs

• Keep accurate logs, shift reports, incident reports and cargo records

• Follow all safety rules for loading, hauling and unloading cargo

Requirements

• Valid CDL with endorsements matching the equipment you'll drive (hazmat endorsement if needed)

• Solid background driving commercial trucks on routes and making deliveries

• Comfortable running different truck types: tractor-trailer, reefer, flatbed, tanker, dump truck and roll-off

• Confident driving manual transmission trucks and handling freight by hand

• Understanding of cargo handling for loads of different sizes and types

• Solid grasp of FMCSA, DOT and hazmat rules and safe loading/unloading practices

• Forklift or dump truck experience helpful but not required

• Strong GPS navigation skills and ability to adjust to route changes or delays
