CDL OTR Truck Driver — $1,200–$3,000/week

Our company in Bakersfield, CA is looking for an OTR truck driver to haul freight on long-distance routes using tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers and refrigerated trailers. You will be responsible for safe driving, proper cargo handling and keeping your paperwork in line with federal rules.

Pay

• $1,200.00 to $3,000.00 per week

What you'll haul

• Mixed freight using tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers and refrigerated trailers

• Includes hazardous materials and temperature-sensitive loads when assigned

• Manual transmission equipment

What you'll do

• Drive OTR routes and plan them with GPS to stay on time and save fuel

• Load and unload freight by hand, securing it properly and following hazmat rules when dangerous goods are involved

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections to keep the truck DOT-compliant

• Keep delivery logs and paperwork accurate per FMCSA and DOT standards

• Stay in contact with dispatch about schedules, route changes and any problems on the road

Requirements

• Valid CDL; Hazmat and tanker endorsements preferred

• Solid background in commercial truck driving, delivery or freight transport

• Working knowledge of FMCSA and hazmat transport regulations, plus DOT hours-of-service rules

• Comfortable driving manual transmission trucks and handling freight by hand

• Experience with GPS route planning on long-haul routes

• Clean driving history
