About this job
Our company, based in South Gate, CA, needs a CDL driver for overnight rail runs supporting Amazon freight. You'll move loads between rail yards, distribution centers, and fulfillment facilities on the night shift.
Pay
- $34/hr
- Current shifts available are 5/10s and 4/12s on weekends
Schedule
- Overnight hours, consistent night shift work required
What you'll haul
- Amazon freight moving between rail yards, distribution centers, and fulfillment centers
- You'll coordinate directly with dispatch and rail yard staff to keep pickups and drop-offs on time
Requirements
- 3 years of CDL driving experience
- Clean driving record (MVR)
- Able to consistently work overnight shifts
- Rail yard or Amazon DSP/relay experience is a plus, not required
- Must pass a DOT pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Dependable, on time, and detail-oriented about safety
You'll also handle pre-trip and post-trip inspections per DOT rules, follow traffic laws and company and Amazon safety standards, and keep dispatch updated on route progress, delays, or any incidents.
