About this job

Our company is looking for independent contractors to deliver units over the road, nationwide. You pick the loads that work for your schedule, driving solo under your own contractor agreement, not as a company driver or owner-operator.

Pay

  • Pay runs $0.72 - $1.55 per mile plus a fuel surcharge for most divisions, with the rate depending on the load and division
  • Same-day pay kicks in once your paperwork and logs are turned in and approved
  • Extra earning potential through referral, clean inspection, mileage, load, and safety bonuses

Schedule and workload

  • You choose which loads to run, but you need to stay active by completing 3-5 loads a month
  • Expect to run roughly 2-5 loads monthly while keeping control over your own schedule
  • Typical hauls run 300-800 miles, depending on customer needs
  • Check in with your dispatcher at least weekly, even between loads
  • This is solo OTR work only - despite the company name, there are no team driving assignments

What you'll haul

Our company runs several divisions: Singles, New Deck, Used Deck, and Boom.

Requirements

  • Valid Class A or Class B CDL; deck positions need a Double/Triple (T) Endorsement
  • At least 1 year of verifiable OTR commercial driving experience in the past 3 years (2 years plus 1 year of decking/un-decking experience for deck positions) - rideshare or delivery app driving doesn't count
  • A reasonably clean driving record and steady work history
  • Ability to supply DOT numbers from past employers and documentation of companies hauled for over the last 3 years
  • Solid understanding of DOT hours-of-service rules, with daily electronic logs kept current through the Motive app (no paper logs)
  • Your own tools and equipment for decking and un-decking trucks
  • On-time submission of paperwork and consistent communication with dispatch
  • On-time arrival for every pickup and delivery, with a professional attitude throughout
  • Use of MacroPoint for Truckers to share real-time load tracking with customers
  • Proper logging of pre-trip and post-trip inspections, plus photo documentation on every load
  • You cover your own fuel costs and should try to keep at least a quarter tank during transport
  • Escrow, occupational/accidental insurance, and deductible buy-back insurance are required - details given during the application process

Position details

This is a 1099 independent contractor role, so there are no company benefits included. It's strictly an over-the-road position, not local or regional.

The hiring carrier's name is shared with you once you apply through the DriverRoll app, where you can message them directly.
