About this job
Our company in Goodland, KS is looking for a CDL delivery driver to haul fertilizer and chemical products to local customers. You'll run local routes and be home every night.
What you'll do
- Operate company trucks to transport sprayer and fertilizer orders to customers, handling the freight safely and accurately
- Pick up and drop off product as assigned
- Help load trailers with materials and unload bulk chemical and fertilizer at the facility using a forklift or hand truck
- Keep required paperwork and logs up to date per company and government rules
- Stay alert to product hazards and follow proper safety steps
- Clean and maintain your equipment
- Take on other duties as needed
Requirements
- High school diploma
- CDL required; hazmat endorsement is a plus
- Prior driving experience preferred
- Driving record must meet the company's standards
- Must pass DOT physical and medical requirements along with a substance abuse screening
- Able to lift or carry up to 50 lbs
Schedule and home time
- Local routes only, so you're home every night
- Full-time, 40+ hours per week, with extra hours and overtime pay during busy seasonal stretches
