Drive a 53 ft tractor-trailer on a dedicated lane for our company out of Jacksonville, FL. You'll run OTR routes hauling freight in refrigerated, flatbed, and tanker trailers, keeping deliveries on schedule and compliant with federal trucking rules.
Pay
- $875.00 per day
What you'll haul
- Freight moved via 53 ft trailers, including refrigerated, flatbed, and tanker equipment
- Auto parts and other cargo, sometimes including hazardous or dangerous goods
- Loading and unloading cargo by hand, with proper securement for flatbed and tanker loads
What the job involves
- Running OTR routes while following FMCSA, DOT, and hazmat rules
- Using GPS to plan routes and adjust in real time
- Completing pre-trip and post-trip truck inspections and logging any issues
- Keeping accurate driving-hour logs and delivery paperwork per FMCSA rules
- Working with the logistics team on route changes and freight coordination
Requirements
- Valid CDL with a clean driving record
- Manual transmission experience preferred
- Delivery driving background with freight loading/unloading experience
- Knowledge of refrigerated trailer operations and hazmat handling a plus
- Comfortable with GPS navigation and route planning
- Experience securing loads on flatbeds or tankers
- Solid grasp of FMCSA rules on load securement and safety
