CDL Commercial Truck Driver — $47.28–$59.10/hr

Our company South Bay in Santa Clara, CA is looking for a commercial truck driver to run assigned routes safely and keep good relationships with customers along the way. You'll work under a Collective Bargaining Agreement that sets your pay rate.

Pay

• $47.28 to $59.10 per hour, per the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA)

What you'll do

• Check and inspect your assigned truck before and after each trip

• Follow all required safety steps while operating the vehicle

• Drive your assigned service areas efficiently and on schedule

• Load materials the proper way and flag any issues to your supervisor

• Turn away hazardous materials when you're able to

• Keep loads within legal weight limits

• Report any accidents or safety issues right away

• Represent the company well and keep a positive relationship with customers in your service area

Requirements

• At least one year of commercial driving experience (two years preferred)

• Knowledge of job site safety practices, common hazards, and waste-related regulations

• Comfortable with basic computer programs

• High school diploma or GED preferred

• Valid commercial driver's license and current medical card

• Able to repeatedly lift, push and pull receptacles throughout your shift

• Able to get in and out of the truck cab repeatedly

• Able to complete pre- and post-trip inspections

• Willing to work nights, weekends and holidays

• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather, hot or cold, wet or dry

• Able to stay productive and focused under pressure over long shifts

• Able to understand safety rules and procedure manuals

• Good communication skills with coworkers, supervisors and customers, including two-way radio use
