About this job
Help get guests' bags where they need to go across Alaska's land tour operations. You'll drive a truck between properties and the airport, moving luggage as part of a close-knit crew.
What you'll do
- Drive a truck solo or alongside teammates to pick up and drop off luggage at properties and the airport
- Load and unload bags from trucks, vans and motorcoaches
- Sort, count, tag and label guest bags each day
- Stay in touch with supervisors and crew by radio for updates and requests
- Handle light mechanical tasks as needed
Requirements
- At least 21 years old
- A year of driving and luggage-handling experience is preferred but not mandatory
- Valid driver's license with a clean 3-year driving history (an MVR check will be run)
- Valid Class B CDL with airbrake endorsement (the company offers a training course if you need to get it)
- Able to pass a DOT physical and drug test
- Comfortable lifting 50-75 pounds on a regular basis, sometimes overhead
- Able to pass a background check and meet the company's driving eligibility standards
- Committed to strong service for guests, coworkers and vendors
- Eligible to work in the US; the company cannot sponsor work visas (including H-2B) right now
