About this job
Our company is looking for a CDL-B truck driver to run a local route out of Wichita, KS, delivering HVAC equipment with hands-on freight handling. You'll work solo, Monday through Friday, and be home every day.
Pay
- $28.28 per hour, paid weekly
- Typical weekly earnings of $1131 or more
- At least 40 hours of work each week
- Paid training included
Schedule and route
- Monday to Friday, starting at 7:00 AM
- Solo driving within the local Wichita area
- Home every day
What you'll haul
- HVAC equipment, touch freight (loading and unloading required)
- 26' straight truck equipped with a pallet jack and lift gate
- Trucks are no more than 36 months old, with 24/7 roadside assistance and access to over 800 maintenance and fueling locations nationwide
- Full training provided on all equipment
Requirements
- At least 21 years old
- Valid CDL with required endorsements; hazmat endorsement required for this role
- Verifiable tractor-trailer experience in a Class A or Class B vehicle, meeting one of: 9 months in the last 3 years, 2 years in the last 5 years, or 5 years in the last 10 years
- Must pass a DOT physical, road test, drug screening, and background and motor vehicle check (including driving history verification from past employers over the last 3 years)
- Able to follow instructions and apply relevant laws, rules and procedures
- Some positions may require extra screening such as employment or education checks, additional driving record review, or customer-specific badge and background requirements
Responsibilities
- Follow safety rules and applicable regulations
- Spot and reduce safety risks on the job
- Keep accurate logs and records
- Load and unload freight when needed
- Handle other assigned duties
