About this job
Our company is looking for a Class B CDL driver to run local tailgate deliveries of HVAC freight out of Irwindale, CA. You'll be home every day, driving a straight truck on a Monday through Friday schedule.
Pay
- $27.00 per hour, paid weekly
- At least 40 hours a week, totaling $1100 or more weekly
- Paid training included
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, local routes within CA
- Shift starts at 6:00 pm
What you'll haul
- Tailgate delivery of HVAC freight
- You'll use a pallet jack, hand truck and forklift, with forklift experience required
- our company provides training on all the equipment you'll need
- Trucks are 36 months old or newer, backed by 24/7 roadside support and fueling at more than 800 maintenance locations nationwide
Requirements
- At least 21 years old
- Valid Class B CDL (or Class A) with required endorsements; a Hazmat endorsement is needed within 90 days of hire
- Verifiable tractor-trailer or comparable driving experience: 9 months in the last 3 years, or 2 years in the last 5 years, or 5 years in the last 10 years
- Must pass a drug test, background check, motor vehicle record review (including verification of drug and alcohol history from past employers over the last 3 years), DOT physical, and a our company road test
- Able to follow instructions and apply relevant laws, rules and procedures
- Some assignments may require added background checks, employment or education verification, or customer-specific badging
You'll be responsible for following safety and compliance rules, spotting and addressing hazards, keeping accurate logs, and helping load or unload freight when needed.
