CDL-B Local Delivery Driver — $30.11/hr

Our company in Charleston, SC is looking for a CDL-B delivery driver to deliver foodservice products to customers on a local route. You'll run a Monday through Friday schedule with some Saturdays, dispatching between 3:00am and 6:00am, working until all stops are completed.

Pay

• Base rate of $30.11 per hour

• Overtime pay may apply

• Actual pay can vary based on experience, education, skills and location

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, plus occasional Saturdays

• Dispatch window of 3:00am to 6:00am

• You work until all deliveries for the shift are done

• Days and hours can shift depending on business needs

What you'll do

• Drive safely to customer locations and hit scheduled delivery windows

• Unload product using a two-wheeler, pallet jack or by hand, placing items in the customer's designated storage area

• Confirm each delivery is correct with the customer and collect the required signature

• Take payments or collections from customers where needed

• Represent the company well through strong customer service

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections on your equipment

Physical demands

• Repeatedly lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling product weighing 20 to 80+ lbs throughout the shift

• Working outdoors in all weather, with 10 or more stops per shift

Requirements

• At least 21 years old

• Valid CDL Class B from your state of residence, with required endorsements and DOT qualifications

• At least 6 months of commercial driving experience, or 3 months if that experience is in food or beverage delivery

• Manual transmission skills preferred, and may be required at some locations

• English proficiency sufficient to hold conversations, read traffic signs, respond to official requests and complete reports

• Registration with the FMCSA Clearinghouse, a DOT-mandated database tracking CDL/CLP holders' drug and alcohol violations (register at clearinghouse.fmcsa.dot.gov)
