About this job
Crowley is looking for a fuel truck driver based in Nome, AK to handle fuel transfers, deliveries and related terminal duties. This is an operational role working outdoors with fuel equipment and facilities.
What you'll do
- Inspect your vehicle daily, complete the Daily Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR) and send it to the Fleet Maintenance Department
- Check facilities before starting any fuel transfer
- Run fuel quality tests per the Terminal Operations Manual (TOM)
- Help keep equipment and the facility clean and in working order
- Track inventory on bulk fuel tanks and tank trucks
- Move fuel to and from company tanks, customer tanks, vessels, barges and aircraft
- Handle customer service tasks such as fuel attendant work, reconciling pump meter readings, sales slips and credit card charges
- Respond first if there's a company oil spill
- Follow safety procedures at all times and work overtime when needed
- Take on other tasks assigned by your supervisor
Pay
Paid at union scale.
Requirements
- Class B CDL with Hazmat endorsement
- One year of experience driving straight trucks is preferred
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Alaska driver's license
- Able to wear a half face respirator
- Able to climb stairs at least 50 ft high
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather
- 24-hour HAZWOPER certification is a plus
