CDL-B Delivery Driver — Home Every Night

Our company, a family-owned building supply company operating since 1955, needs a Class B delivery driver at its Saint Helena, CA location. You'll haul lumber and other building materials to job sites and customers, working year-round with nightly home time.

What you'll do

• Load and unload trucks, including staging materials and operating a forklift

• Check and count products before they go out for delivery

• Confirm delivery details with customers ahead of time

• Get loads to the right site undamaged, securing and flagging them as needed

• Help unload at the jobsite when necessary

• Greet customers professionally and provide good service

• Verify the correct materials are being delivered

• Photograph deliveries or get a signature, then give the customer a receipt

Requirements

• Class B driver's license

• At least 25 years old

• 2 years of verifiable driving experience

• No more than 1 point on your driving record

• 1 year of experience securing lumber or similar building materials (flatbed experience)

• Forklift experience

• Able to drive a manual transmission truck

• Experience in both rural and urban driving is a plus

The role involves long stretches of sitting and standing, regular bending, climbing, and lifting and carrying loads up to 60 lbs for several hours a day.
