CDL-B Delivery Driver & Loader — $23.51–$29.90/hr, Boom Truck

J & B Materials, Inc. (an SRS Distribution company) in Sacramento, CA is looking for a CDL Driver & Delivery Helper to haul and deliver building materials using a flatbed or boom truck. You'll handle both the driving and the hands-on loading/unloading, while giving customers a great experience along the way.

Pay

• $23.51 to $29.90 per hour, depending on experience, location, training and other factors

• Overtime available for hourly associates based on business needs

• Possible eligibility for performance-based bonuses, commissions, car allowance or auto/fuel program, and travel expense reimbursement, depending on the role

What you'll haul

• Building materials loaded onto a flatbed or boom truck

• Deliveries made directly to job sites as directed by customers

What you'll do

• Check your truck and trailer before each trip to make sure everything's safe to operate

• Review paperwork and loaded product for accuracy before heading out

• Load materials onto the flatbed or boom truck and unload them safely at the job site

• Get the truck ready and maintained for the next day's run

• Keep the required state and federal compliance records up to date

• Report any accidents involving you or company equipment

• Lift and move building materials weighing up to 100+ lbs during loading and unloading

• Find your way to job sites and navigate delivery routes

Physical demands

• Sit while driving about 40% of the time

• Lift up to 80 lbs regularly while loading or unloading the flatbed

• Move around constantly while unloading materials at the job site

• Operate the commercial vehicle and/or boom equipment throughout the shift

• Judge distances accurately when delivering or running the boom

• Communicate clearly with coworkers and management

• Work outdoors for the duration of deliveries

Requirements

• Valid commercial driver's license, Class B minimum (Class A strongly preferred)

• Clean 3-year motor vehicle record

• Solid understanding of DOT regulations

• Boom or crane experience required

• High school diploma or GED

• Strong reading, writing and communication skills

• Reliable, professional customer service approach
