CDL-A Truck Driver — Starting at $30/hr

Our company in Sacramento, CA is looking for a reliable CDL-A driver to handle deliveries safely and on schedule. You'll run tractor-trailer loads up to 80,000 lbs GVW, with the option to work as a company driver or owner-operator.

Pay

• Starting at $30.00 per hour

• You may negotiate a percentage-of-load rate instead of hourly pay

What you'll haul

• Goods and freight (including livestock) from pickup to delivery point

• Towed loads over 40,000 lbs

• Routes include local, regional, and OTR work

Responsibilities

• Hook up and secure the trailer to your tractor before each run

• Load and arrange freight securely to prevent damage in transit

• Unload at destinations and get signatures or warehouse scans to confirm delivery

• Check that shipment contents match the manifest

• Plan and follow your route, staying in touch with dispatch

• Inspect your truck before and after every trip, and keep it clean and maintained

• Watch weather and road conditions before heading out

• Keep accurate logs of hours, driving, and deliveries

• Follow all FMCSA, DOT, and traffic regulations, and rest according to schedule

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL

• At least 2 years of tractor-trailer driving experience

• Clean driving record, no moving violations

• Must pass a background check and drug screening

• High school diploma or GED preferred

• Comfortable backing, docking, and maneuvering a tractor-trailer

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and use equipment like pallet jacks, hand trucks, or an electric lift

• Strong sense of direction and skilled with GPS/routing tools

• Dependable, alert, and able to stay composed under pressure

This is a full-time contract position, open to both company drivers and owner-operators.
