About this job
Our company is hiring CDL-A drivers in Eastern Idaho for a steady, no-touch grocery freight account with weekly home time. New CDL school graduates are welcome.
Pay
- $1,300 to $1,500 average per week ($60,000 to $75,000 a year)
- $650 a week during training
- $10 for the first stop, $15 for each stop after
- $20 bonus on loads under 250 miles
- 2,500 to 3,000 miles per week
Home time
Every load is a round trip, so you're home every week.
What you'll haul
Store deliveries for one retail customer based in northern Utah, running through Idaho, Utah, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, Nevada and California. You'll drive automatic trucks pulling dry van and refrigerated trailers. Freight runs day and night, including weekends and holidays. The trailers are no-touch, so you never unload.
Getting started
A recruiter will call to review your license and driving record. Orientation runs up to 2 days with hotel paid, bus fare reimbursed, and $300 once you're hired. After that, you'll spend 4 to 6 weeks with a mentor learning backing, trip planning, logs and fueling before taking your own truck.
Requirements
- Class A CDL, age 21 or older
- 120 hours of CDL school, or 6 months of recent driving experience
- Up to 2 moving violations in 2 years, no DUI/DWI in the last 10 years
- DOT physical, plus hair and urine drug test
Benefits
Starting on day 31: medical, dental, vision, and prescription coverage, 401(k), a stock purchase plan, paid time off, and a tuition-free online degree program for you and one family member.
Drivers from Idaho Falls, Rexburg, Blackfoot, Rigby and Pocatello are encouraged to apply.
The hiring carrier's name is shared with you once you apply through the DriverRoll app, where you can message them directly.
