CDL-A Truck Driver — Home Daily, Starting at $29.35/hr

Our company is looking for a CDL-A truck driver in Keokuk, IA to run tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles and triples, with home daily and pay starting at $29.35 per hour.

Pay

• Starting pay is $29.35/hour

• Classified as a Motor Carrier Act Exempt position

Home time

• You'll be home every day

• Expect a flexible schedule of up to 12-14 hours, covering days, nights and weekends

What you'll do

• Operate a tractor-trailer, including doubles and triples configurations

• Load and unload freight

• Interact with customers and help identify potential sales leads

• Drive up to 11 consecutive hours in varying weather while hauling hazardous and non-hazardous materials

Requirements

• At least 21 years old

• Valid Class A CDL

• Clean driving history

• Willing to get hazmat, tank vehicle and doubles/triples endorsements within 90 days if you don't already have them

• Must pass a DOT drug screen, with no positive results or refusals in the past 3 years

• Valid DOT Medical Certification Card, or ability to pass a company-paid DOT physical

• Able to read and speak English well enough to talk with the public, understand road signs, respond to official requests, and complete reports and records, per DOT rules

Physical demands

• Able to lift items of different sizes and weights (often up to 50 lbs, sometimes over 75 lbs), and move a converter dolly requiring roughly 128 lbs of force

• Comfortable climbing in and out of a cab or trailer, sitting for long stretches, and operating a forklift

• Able to stand and walk on surfaces that may be uneven, slippery or outdoors in bad weather

• Able to bend, twist, reach overhead, push, pull, squat and kneel as needed

• Existing hazmat, tank vehicle and doubles/triples endorsements
