CDL-A Truck Driver — Home Daily, From $36.30/hr

Our company is hiring a CDL-A truck driver in Salina, KS for a local, home-daily position. Experienced drivers can start at $36.30 per hour.

Pay

• Experienced drivers can start at $36.30 an hour

• Classified as Motor Carrier Act Exempt

Home time

• You'll be home every day

What you'll haul

• You'll run a tractor-trailer setup, including doubles and triples configurations

• Loads may include both hazardous and non-hazardous materials

Schedule

• Shifts can run 12-14 hours and may fall on days, nights or weekends

• You could be behind the wheel for up to 11 hours straight

Requirements

• Must be 21 or older

• Valid Class A CDL

• Clean driving history

• Willing to get hazmat, tank and doubles/triples endorsements within your first 90 days on the job (or already hold them)

• Able to pass a DOT drug screen with no positive results or refusals in the past three years

• Current DOT medical card, or ability to pass a company-paid physical

• Forklift experience is a plus

• Must read and speak English well enough to talk with the public, understand road signs, respond to official requests and fill out reports

What you'll do

• Drive a tractor-trailer, including doubles/triples setups, safely

• Help generate sales leads while serving customers

• Load and unload freight, lifting up to 50 lbs regularly and over 75 lbs at times

• Move a converter dolly weighing roughly 128 lbs

• Work outdoors in various weather, climbing in and out of the cab, and operating a forklift as needed
