CDL-A Truck Driver — Fire Protection Equipment Hauling

Our company in Bakersfield, CA is looking for a CDL-A truck driver to join the fleet team. You'll move materials, tools and equipment between the yard and job sites, keeping safety and DOT rules front and center.

What you'll do

• Drive company trucks to deliver and pick up materials, tools and equipment at job sites

• Load and unload cargo, making sure it's secured and undamaged

• Keep records of deliveries, mileage and fuel use

• Stay in touch with the fleet manager and team to coordinate pickups and drop-offs

• Help with basic fleet upkeep like cleaning, minor fixes and flagging mechanical problems

• Meet delivery timeframes and follow all safety protocols

Requirements

• Valid Class A license with a clean driving record

• High school diploma or equivalent (relevant experience may substitute)

• Comfortable lifting up to 75 lbs and handling physically demanding tasks

• Able to climb, squat, lift and pull throughout the shift, and walk or stand for long stretches without sitting

• Good hand and finger dexterity

• Able to work outdoors in varying temperatures and move around on uneven terrain

• Knows local and regional roads

• Able to work solo or with a team, with solid communication and time-management skills

• Open to overtime and weekend shifts as needed

• Forklift or boom lift experience is a plus, not mandatory

• Prior delivery or construction experience preferred
