About this job
Our company is looking for a CDL-A driver to run both local and over-the-road routes, handling hot-shot and tractor-trailer loads in Georgia. You'll work with flatbed and dry van equipment, keeping freight moving safely and on time.
Pay
- Weekly pay ranges from $1,500.00 to $2,000.00
What you'll haul
- Flatbed and dry van freight
- Hot-shot loads alongside standard tractor-trailer runs
Responsibilities
- Operate trucks on both local and long-haul delivery runs
- Load, unload and secure cargo, sometimes by hand or with a pallet jack
- Check vehicles and freight for problems before and during trips
- Stay compliant with DOT and FMCSA rules, including hazardous materials handling where it applies
- Navigate using GPS, log deliveries, and keep dispatch updated on progress
Requirements
- Current Class A CDL with a clean driving history
- Background in truck, commercial, or delivery driving (delivery experience is a plus)
- Comfortable driving manual transmission, and automatic for hot-shot work
- Knowledge of freight and logistics handling is a bonus
- Experience with dry vans, flatbeds, hot-shot trailers, and pallet jacks is helpful
