About this job
Our company in Whittier, CA 90602 needs a CDL-A driver for dedicated lanes running Los Angeles to Phoenix and Las Vegas, with a mix of local and longer-distance runs. You'll handle tractor-trailers, containers and refrigerated trailers.
Pay
- $30.00 to $35.00 per hour
What you'll haul
- Tractor-trailers, containers and refrigerated trailers, including manual transmission equipment
- Freight on dedicated lanes between LA, Phoenix and Las Vegas, plus some OTR work
Schedule
- Full-time, weekdays with weekends as needed
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL), at least 2 years of experience required (3+ years preferred)
- Background in commercial or port trucking preferred
- Comfortable working independently and handling route changes or delays
- Able to secure cargo properly and complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks
- Accurate logging of hours, routes and deliveries, with regular updates to dispatch
- Follows all transportation laws and safety rules
- A TWIC Card is a strong plus
