CDL-A Transfer Driver — $45/hr, Home Most Nights

This CDL-A Transfer/Flex Driver role in Hayward, CA involves hauling research products, animals, and biological materials between company facilities and customer sites. The schedule runs any day of the week, including overnights and rotating routes, with guaranteed full-time hours and pay of $45.00 per hour.

Pay

• $45.00 per hour, full-time with 40+ hours guaranteed weekly

Schedule and travel

• Shifts fall anywhere Sunday through Saturday, including overnight and rotating routes

• Occasional travel to other company sites for up to three weeks at a stretch

• Openness to team driving is required

What you'll haul

• Research products, live animals, and biological materials between facilities and customer locations

• Equipment ranges from Class A 53-foot reefer tractor-trailers to Class C reefer vans

• Some touch freight handling involved

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving history

• Two or more years of CDL driving experience preferred

• Must pass a motor vehicle record check

• Able to lift and move up to 70 pounds repeatedly

• Comfortable working around research animals, including non-human primates, and biohazard materials

• Strong navigation skills using GPS and maps, plus solid DOT and safety knowledge
