About this job
This is a team OTR trucking role running all 48 states, built as a short-term way to boost your income — the posting pitches it as a one-year plan to pay down debt. You can apply alone and the company will pair you with a co-driver.
Pay
- Expect roughly $2,400 to $2,800 per week for your own share, based on running 6,000 to 7,000 team miles
- A flat-rate option is available instead: $2,000 per driver for up to 6,000 miles, then $0.80 for every mile beyond that, split between the team
- $1,000 bonus when you sign on
- Bonuses for staying out: $2,200 after six straight weeks of work, $2,300 after ten
- Bonuses of $100, $300 or $500 tied to clean DOT inspections
- If the truck breaks down, you're paid $100 per day per driver, plus a place to stay
- You're paid weekly by direct deposit, and fuel cards are supplied
Home time
- Plan on four weeks on the road followed by five days at home
What you'll haul
- Freight moves mostly drop-and-hook, with occasional live loads, and you won't be touching the freight yourself
- The truck comes equipped with a fridge and microwave so you can cook instead of eating out every meal
Requirements
- You need a current CDL-A and six months or more of OTR driving you can verify
- You'll have to complete a 90-degree reverse parking test during orientation
Orientation and travel
- Orientation, the parking test, and picking up your truck all happen in Orlando, Florida, though you don't need to live there
- If you're coming from outside Florida, the company flies you in and pays back half your travel costs once you start driving
Contractor pay details
- Occupational injury insurance runs $49 a week
- A $1,000 escrow is built up through $250 deductions from your first four paychecks, and it's refundable if you give two weeks' notice when you leave
The hiring carrier's name is shared with you once you apply through the DriverRoll app, where you can message them directly.
