About this job
Our company, a family-owned carrier, is looking for experienced CDL-A drivers to run solo over-the-road with no-touch dry van freight. You get a late-model truck and pay for every mile you drive, empty or loaded.
Pay
- $0.75 per mile, paid on all miles (loaded and empty)
- Pay from $2,500 a week, with 3,000+ miles per week expected
- $1,000 sign-on bonus
- This is a 1099 contract position
Truck and freight
- 2023-2024 Freightliner Cascadia with an automatic transmission
- APU, inverter, refrigerator and microwave on board
- No-touch dry van loads and no forced dispatch
- Company covers your travel to Chicago when you join
Schedule and home time
- Solo long-haul work, not local or home-weekly
- About 3 weeks out, then 3-4 days at home after each 2-3 week trip
- Aim is 3,200-3,500 miles a week
Requirements
- CDL-A and at least 2 years of OTR experience
- Clean MVR, with no serious offenses in the past 3 years and no pattern of unsafe driving
- Must meet FMCSA requirements and have no SAP record
