CDL-A Short Haul Truck Driver — Warehouse & Delivery

Our company in Fresno, CA is looking for a Short Haul Truck Driver to move product between the warehouse and customer locations, while also helping out with warehouse tasks like loading, unloading and staging freight.

What you'll do

• Load, unload, sort, stage and transport product, including handling shipping returns

• Run a forklift and other material handling equipment around the warehouse

• Build and complete orders for delivery or pickup (loading, packing, wrapping, labeling, shipping)

• Drive loads between the warehouse and customer sites safely and on schedule

• Receive, pick, unload, label and store incoming warehouse stock

• Check product for damage or defects and flag problems to your supervisor

• Keep accurate ELD logs

• Do pre- and post-trip safety checks on your equipment and report any mechanical issues right away

• Keep your truck and work area clean and safe

• Follow all safety, quality and DOT/traffic rules

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record

• Able to get and keep a DOT medical card

• At least 21 years old

• One year of warehouse loading/unloading experience preferred

• Experience with inventory software and systems is a plus

• Comfortable reading road signs and using GPS/maps to plan routes

• English communication skills sufficient for safe, effective job performance

• Able to work independently, juggle priorities and stay composed in a fast-paced setting

• Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly, plus bend, stand, walk and reach as the job requires

• Willing to wear required safety gear (helmets, goggles, gloves, safety shoes) and work in varying conditions (heat, cold, noise, dust, fumes)

• If you ever drive a personal vehicle for the company, you'll need to show proof of auto insurance meeting the company's minimum coverage requirements

Schedule

Expect frequent short trips during the workday and occasional overnight travel.
