CDL-A Route Delivery Driver — $26.87/hr, Home Nightly

Our company, part of Dairy Farmers of America, needs CDL-A drivers to run daily local delivery routes, hand-unloading dairy products to customers and building regular relationships along the way.

Pay

• $26.87/hr

Schedule

• Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 1:00 AM until the route is finished

• Off Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday

• Hours may shift depending on business needs

• You're back home every night

What you'll haul

• Dairy products delivered to customer stops on a set route

• Unloading by hand using a 2-wheel cart and/or pallet jack, placing items in coolers and walk-ins

• Some routes also involve stocking or ordering product

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record

• At least 21 years old

• About 6 months of relevant driving experience is preferred

• Must pass background, criminal and drug screening

• Able to read, write and speak English

• Able to push, pull and lift up to 55 lbs

• Willing to work overtime, and occasional weekends and holidays, as needed

On the job

• Follow DOT and company safety rules, and keep to your assigned route unless told otherwise

• Let your supervisor know right away about delays from traffic, accidents or breakdowns

• Keep your truck clean and check things like tires, fuel and oil

• Fill out logs, trip sheets and other paperwork daily per DOT and company policy

• Check and record the condition of your load before heading out

• Attend required training and safety meetings

• Represent the company professionally with customers
