CDL-A Regional Truck Driver — Home Every 7-10 Days

Run regional dry van freight east of I-35 for a steady paycheck and a predictable schedule. You'll stay in familiar lanes with mostly drop-and-hook loads, driving newer Peterbilt equipment.

Pay

• $1,300 to $1,500 weekly, based on competitive CPM rates plus a monthly performance bonus

• You get paid for every dispatched mile, loaded, empty, or bobtail

• Solo drivers typically run 2,500 to 2,800 miles a week, with more available depending on freight and your own pace

Home time

• Get a 34 to 48 hour reset every 7 to 10 days

• Take the truck and trailer home with you; you'll need to arrange your own parking, though terminal parking may be an option if you're nearby

What you'll haul

• All freight is no-touch dry van

• About 70% of loads are drop-and-hook

• Average run length is 500 miles, mostly consumer and automotive freight through regional customer lanes

Equipment

• Mostly Peterbilt 579 trucks, three years old or newer, with some Freightliner and International trucks in the mix

• Trucks come with refrigerators, inverters, automatic transmissions, and Qualcomm systems

Orientation

Orientation runs Monday and Wednesday starts, lasting about three days. You'll get onboarding pay, a provided lunch, and travel covered to get there.

• Valid Class A CDL

• At least 3 months of driving experience within the past 3 years

• Current DOT medical card
