About this job
Our company Inc., a family-owned carrier based in Winters, California, is looking for an experienced Class A CDL driver for regional and OTR runs. You'll haul freight across California, Oregon, Idaho, Utah and nearby states, with a company truck provided and a shot at a long-term spot on the team.
Pay
- Mileage-based pay, with rates reported between $0.60 and $0.75 per mile depending on experience, driving record and qualifications.
What you'll haul
- Freight moving through California, Oregon, Idaho, Utah and surrounding states on regional and interstate lanes.
What you'll do
- Drive a Class A tractor-trailer safely on regional and interstate routes.
- Handle pickups and deliveries on schedule.
- Run pre-trip and post-trip inspections on your rig.
- Keep your ELD logs and trip paperwork current and accurate.
- Stay in line with DOT and FMCSA rules, including hours-of-service.
- Secure cargo properly and watch for any mechanical or safety issues, reporting them right away.
- Stay in regular contact with dispatch, brokers and customers.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL.
- Current DOT medical card.
- Clean enough driving and safety record.
- Tractor-trailer experience preferred.
- Comfortable with DOT rules and hours-of-service limits.
- Able to handle varying road and weather conditions.
- Reliable, professional and a solid communicator who manages time well.
