About this job
Our company, an Amazon Freight Partner based in Miami, Florida, needs dependable CDL-A drivers for regional routes on a rotating schedule. You'll run no-touch Amazon freight and get hourly pay instead of mileage pay.
Schedule
You work a rotating 2-days-on/2-days-off pattern, sharing each route with a partner driver on the opposite rotation. You're never driving together; when your partner is on, you're off, and vice versa. Because the rotation spans calendar weeks, you'll typically work three 13-hour shifts one week and four the next, averaging 3-4 scheduled shifts weekly. The rotation covers nights, weekends and holidays, so you need to be fine working your assigned start time and the full rotation.
Pay
- $23.00 per hour to start
- $34.50 per hour for anything over 40 hours in a workweek
- Paid every week
- A regular rotation week (3-4 shifts) runs about $897-$1,334 gross, adding up to roughly $58,000 a year
- Picking up an extra 13-hour shift when routes and your Hours of Service allow can push weekly gross to about $1,782.50 and annual earnings to around $81,000
- Extra shifts aren't guaranteed - they depend on route needs, attendance and HOS eligibility
What you'll haul
No-touch Amazon freight, driven in modern automatic tractors pulling 53-foot trailers.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- At least 21 years old
- 2 years of driving experience required; hands-on time with a 53-foot trailer strongly preferred

- Must pass background checks, MVR review and drug testing
- Must qualify under Amazon Freight Partner standards
- Available to work nights, weekends and holidays as the rotation requires
- Own way to get to and from the Medley yard
- Comfortable using a smartphone and required driver apps (including Amazon Relay and ELDs)
- English required
On the job, you'll be expected to show up on time for every shift, run full pre- and post-trip inspections, stay in regular contact with dispatch, report issues promptly, and keep the equipment clean and well cared for.
