CDL-A Reefer Truck Driver — Home Every 2 Weeks

Our company is looking for Class A drivers near north Knox County to run a refrigerated fleet based out of the Atlanta area. You'll pull temperature-controlled trailers, rack up around 2,100 miles weekly, and return home every two weeks.

Pay

• Mileage pay ranges from $0.50 to $0.74 depending on your verified experience

• Typical weekly earnings run near $1,200

• Your first three months running solo guarantee at least $1,000 a week

• New CDL holders earn $650 weekly while training with a mentor

• Weekly direct deposit, plus a bonus program for performance

Home time

You'll be out on the road with time home every two weeks.

What you'll haul

Refrigerated freight that moves year-round, including weekends and holidays. Most stops are live load and live unload, so dock crews handle the freight rather than you.

Getting started

After a recruiter checks your license and driving history, you attend a two-day orientation (hotel paid, bus fare reimbursed, plus $300 once hired). New drivers then ride with a mentor for three to five weeks (about 200-250 hours) before taking their own truck, which averages 1.5 years old. If you already have six months of OTR experience within the last year, you can skip the mentor phase and go solo right away.

Requirements

• Class A CDL issued in your home state, age 21 or older

• Either a completed CDL-A program (at least 120 hours) or six months of recent OTR experience

• No more than two moving violations in the past two years

• No DUI or DWI within the last ten years

• Must pass a DOT physical and a hair and urine drug screen
