About this job
Our company needs Class A CDL drivers for container drayage work at the Los Angeles and Long Beach Ports. You'll run local routes and be home every day, driving the company's electric Class 8 heavy-duty trucks instead of diesel equipment.

What you'll haul
- Container drayage moving freight between the LA/Long Beach Ports, warehouses, distribution centers, and customer sites
- You'll follow port appointment times and delivery schedules
- Trucks are battery-electric Class 8 heavy-duty units, so part of the job involves tracking charge levels and following the company's charging procedures
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- Clean driving history
- Prior experience with port, drayage, intermodal, or container freight is a plus
- TWIC card needed (or close to it) for port access
- Willingness to train on and run electric trucks
- Dependable attendance and a safety-first mindset
- Good communication with dispatch on routes, appointments, charging status, and any delays
- Must satisfy standard DOT and company qualification standards
What the job involves day to day
- Running pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Picking up and dropping off containers at port terminals and other stops
- Keeping accurate logs and delivery paperwork
- Staying in touch with dispatch throughout your shift
- Following DOT, FMCSA, and port safety rules
