CDL-A Port Container Driver — Home Weekends

This is a container-hauling position running Philadelphia-area routes out to Ohio, Western New York, West Virginia, and Central/Western Pennsylvania. You'll be home on weekends with occasional midweek time off as well.

Pay

• Yearly pay ranges from $95,000 to $118,000

• Averages out to roughly $1,844–$2,271 per week

Home time

• Weekends off, plus occasional midweek breaks

• Schedule runs either Sunday through Friday or Monday through Saturday

What you'll haul

• Container freight, no-touch, drop and hook style

• Expect around 2,100 miles driven weekly

• You'll need safe, legal spots to park your truck and container at home; bobtail parking near the port is limited

Requirements

• Current Class A CDL plus a TWIC card

• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements (you can get these within your first 30 days, and the company reimburses the fees)

• At least 21 years old

• A minimum of 4 months OTR driving experience in the past year

• Clean record and DOT qualified

• Home address within 50 miles of Eddystone, PA
