About this job
Our company is looking for a CDL-A driver to haul freight over the road, running refrigerated trailers, flatbeds or tankers depending on the load. You'll handle a mix of OTR and local runs while keeping safety and compliance front and center.
What you'll do
- Drive tractor-trailers (reefer, flatbed or tanker) on OTR and local routes
- Follow GPS-planned routes and stay compliant with DOT rules
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip truck inspections to catch mechanical problems and meet FMCSA standards
- Keep accurate records of hours driven, deliveries and cargo paperwork per DOT requirements
- Stay in contact with dispatch to plan routes and delivery timing
Requirements
- Valid CDL-A with a clean driving record
- At least 2 years of commercial driving experience, including route and delivery work in different settings
- Comfortable with loading and unloading freight
- Experience with reefer, flatbed, tanker or car-hauling equipment is a plus
- Hazmat or Tanker endorsements welcome but not required to start
- Manual transmission experience helpful but not required; training available
- Solid grasp of FMCSA, DOT and hazmat regulations
