About this job
Our company is hiring CDL-A drivers for over-the-road freight runs, open to both solo drivers and established teams. Pay is based on a share of the truck's gross revenue rather than a fixed rate.
Pay
- Solo drivers start at 28% of the truck's gross revenue
- Teams start at 32% of combined gross revenue, rising to 33% after 90 days and potentially 34% later
- Settlements are paid weekly with a clear breakdown of load revenue
- Example: a $5,000 truck gross yields about $1,400 for a solo driver; a $8,000 truck gross yields about $2,560 split between a team
- Actual pay depends on completed loads and truck revenue; the examples are estimates, not guarantees
Home time
Home-time arrangements are worked out during the hiring conversation rather than fixed in advance.
What you'll haul
Freight runs through Southeast and Midwest lanes, with other routes possible, using a company-supplied tractor.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- At least 1 year of verifiable CDL driving experience
- Some CDL restrictions are acceptable; no automatic disqualification
- Clean driving history and current DOT medical card
- Able to meet DOT/FMCSA rules and pass drug and alcohol screening
- Good communication and time-management habits
- Takes safety and equipment care seriously
What you'll do
- Haul loads safely according to dispatch
- Perform pre- and post-trip inspections
- Keep electronic logs accurate
- Secure and protect freight properly
- Stay in touch about delivery status and truck issues
- Follow federal trucking regulations
- Work well with customers and dispatch
