About this job
Our company is hiring a full-time OTR driver based out of Rockledge, FL to haul freight across multiple states. The schedule runs Monday through Friday, with an effort to get you back home for weekends.
What you'll do
- Drive tractor-trailers on long-haul, multi-state routes
- Plan routes and use GPS to keep deliveries on schedule
- Stage freight for unloading, handling cargo safely and correctly
- Follow FMCSA, DOT and hazardous materials rules on every trip
- Complete pre-trip, en-route and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Keep accurate records of hours, delivery paperwork and cargo manifests
Pay
Starting at $0.67 per mile.
Home time
Monday through Friday schedule, with weekends off targeted.
Requirements
- Valid CDL Class A with a clean driving record
- 2-3 years of commercial driving experience, including long-distance routes
- Comfortable operating manual transmission tractor-trailers
- Familiar with GPS navigation and cargo logistics
- Experience loading and unloading freight, including flatbed or tanker loads
- Solid grasp of DOT and FMCSA safety rules
- Physically able to handle manual loading and unloading tasks
