CDL-A OTR Truck Driver — Home Reset After Each Trip, No Experience Needed

This OTR role is based out of Orange County and is open to recent CDL school graduates as well as experienced drivers living anywhere in Southern California. You'll run trips of 5 to 8 days, then reset at your Orange County base before heading back out.

Pay

• Weekly pay ranges from $1,300.00 to $2,600.00, with checks averaging around $1,800.00.

• Your first week may run shorter if you're back home within 5 days, which can mean lower pay that week.

Home time

• You return to your Orange County base before your 70 hours run out, and you choose when to head back out.

• Most drivers take about 4 days off between trips, though you can take as little as 2 days or as long as a week.

What you'll haul

• You'll pull a dry van trailer, with loads split roughly 70% live load/unload and 30% drop and hook.

• Loads are kept light, so you won't need to stop at a scale to check your weight.

• Trucks are all automatic.

What the job involves

• Operate the truck safely on assigned routes, following all traffic and safety rules.

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections.

• Use GPS for navigation and keep accurate logs and delivery paperwork.

• Stay in contact with dispatch and customers; dispatch support is available 24/7.

• You'll typically be paired with another driver for each run, or you can team up with someone you know.

Requirements

• Current CDL-A required; no prior driving experience necessary, though experienced drivers are also welcome.

• Clean driving record.

• Not eligible if you're in the SAP program.

• Training is provided for docking, parking and using an ELD.

• You must be able to follow safety procedures and act professionally on the road.
