About this job
Our company is looking for CDL-A drivers for OTR runs. Choose how you want to work: company driver, lease to own, or bring your own truck as an owner-operator. Freight keeps moving year-round, including winter, so you're not sitting around waiting for loads.
What you'll haul
Trailers include flatbed, stepdeck, conestoga, reefer and dry van. Most trucks on the fleet are 2023-2026 Freightliner Cascadias, maintained in the company's own shop.
Pay - company driver
- Flatbed, stepdeck and conestoga: 32% of gross. These trucks gross $12,000-$16,000 a week, which works out to $3,840-$5,120 a week for you
- Reefer and dry van: 30% of gross. These trucks gross $10,000-$15,000 a week, putting your pay at $3,000-$4,500
- Teams earn 32% of gross
- Prefer cents per mile? You can run CPM starting at $0.80/mile
- Clean DOT inspections can earn you a bonus of up to $500
Lease to own
- Lease a 2024-27 truck and you keep 88% of the gross
- These trucks gross $10,000-$16,000 a week, so your 88% share is $8,800-$14,080 before fuel, the truck payment and other costs
- Run any trailer type: flatbed, stepdeck, conestoga, reefer or dry van
- If you already own your truck, owner-operators also keep 88% of gross
Schedule and home time
- Expect 3,000-4,200 miles weekly
- Trips run 3-4 weeks before coming home
- Drivers based in or near Illinois get home every 2 weeks
- Support is available around the clock
- You'll be paid weekly as a 1099 contractor
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- At least 2 years of verifiable OTR experience
- At least 6 months of experience on the trailer type you'd be running
- A clean driving history; minor violations are fine, and not-at-fault accidents are okay as long as there's a police report
Benefits
- Lease purchase program available
